BATTLEFLEET MODELS :
Medium, and Large Tugs.
The ubiquitous workhorse of every port comes in the form of that pleasing little boat known as the tug. There is a whole
array of these craft in various shapes, sizes, and configurations which have been put
to work over the years and Battlefleet models have created two of these in one box.
The two can be portrayed as civilian, or USN versions. I have chosen to create a diorama showing one as civilian in the
New York Harbour livery, inspired by the Paul Bender painting, with a USN version passing by her starboard side.
I have used various Eduard, and GMM figures to line the decks to give a salute as they pass otherwise the build is very
much "out-of-the-box". Building the USN version means that you will have to provide your own armament which I have taken from
my spares box. The smaller guns a re left over from USS Algonquin, also a Battlefleet Models kit.
The casting of the hulls is flawless, and a pleasure to build. You can make these as simple or as complicated as you
wish. I thought they stood alone very well but a larger diorama showing them in action with a bigger ship is a tempting thought.
